 FAQs

All college students are welcome to be a member and participate in CBFL activities! We are a Catholic organization and would like to invite all men and women who want to enrich their faith and relationship with Jesus Christ to also be a part of this ministry.

WHO CAN BE A PART OF CBFL?

HOW DO I START CBFL AT MY CAMPUS?

It takes a willing heart and prayer to begin the stages of starting CBFL, along with gathering friends who are interested. And by contacting members of the National CBFL Core team, they can assist in talking with you, sending materials, and guiding you in the steps to take to start a local group.

HOW DO WE GET PEOPLE INTERESTED IN CBFL?

The best way to start is to know your campus and know your mission! From there, reach out to fellow friends, other residents that might live with you on campus, classmates, and members of organizations you are in that you think may be interested! Let them know what we have to offer, and who we are and what this community is all about.

Also, food and fellowship! Try to participate in club fairs at the beginning of the year or table where there’s a lot of student traffic to get the name out and keep people informed that CBFL exists.

Get an email list set up to give out more information about the club and keep students updated on upcoming events.

There are many opportunities to be of service within the CBFL Ministry, below is a list of the servant leaders and a description of each.

CBFL Coordinators - active and committed members of CFC FFL who pastor the Campus Servants

Campus Servants – active and committed members of SFL who pastor the Campus Officers

Campus Officers – active and committed members of CBFL who pastor the student members of the campus

WHO ARE THE SERVANTS OF CBFL?

WHY IS THERE A NEED FOR CBFL IF THERE IS ALREADY YFL OR SFL?

As observed in most if not all of the areas in the US, YFL members who are already in college feel that they are too old to still join YFL gatherings and activities.

On the other hand, these college-aged members of our community also feel that they are too young to transition to SFL, who are mostly young working professionals. Subsequently, they tend to be inactive in community life because they feel that they do not fit in either YFL or SFL.

The CFC FFL needs to understand and cater to the needs of these young adult members of our community. Thus, CBFL was formalized to nurture our college-aged members and at the same time continue the work of evangelization on college campuses.
